Sodium butyrate 1800 Colfarm, in the form of prolonged-release coated tablets, is food for special medical purposes intended for adults.
The butyric acid contained in the tablets is a short-chain fatty acid which serves as an energy material for the intestinal epithelium.
It is beneficial to the digestive tract.
For adults, as part of dietary management of the following conditions:
- irritable bowel syndrome (IBS),
- constipation,
- acute diarrhoea of various causes,
- stomach aches,
- bloated stomach,
- inflammatory bowel diseases,
- gut microbiota dysbiosis, including during and after an antibiotic therapy.
Contraindications and precautions: This product is not intended for parenteral use. This product is not nutritionally complete. Not suitable for use as the sole source of nutrition. Do not use this product unless a doctor has advised you to do so. Do not use in people with swallowing difficulties or when swallowing tablets is difficult. If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to any of the product’s ingredients, you should stop using it. Store at a temperature below 25°C. Keep out of the reach of young children.
